Mango Cream Smoothie

Mango Cream Smoothie

Check out the Banana Split Smoothie Recipe that I created yesterday using Silk Almond Milk! It’s a dairy-free, vegan smoothie with all the goodness of a banana split. Made healthy with fresh strawberries, pineapple, almond milk and dairy-free chocolate chunks.

As soon as I understood the concept of marriage and being a bride, my life revolved around all things wedding.

I’m ready!

When my girlfriends and I had dress-up parties, I was always the bride. When Mom would take me to the grocery store, I would beg her to buy me the latest copy of whatever bridal magazine looked the prettiest. My Ken and Barbie were married like, 502,491,013 times.

Naturally, when I met Kevin and realized (pretty quickly!) that he was the real deal, I started dreaming about what our wedding would be like. That was 5 years ago.

Now, we’re 2 months into our engagement and I’m happy to report that I’ve found the dress, we’ve nailed down the coolest vintage venue in downtown Calgary, the talented Anna from Anna Lou Avenue is putting the final touches on our custom wedding invites, we’ve created a stellar gluten-free + dairy-free menu for our breakfast wedding (!!) and all is unfolding just perfectly.

From the very beginning, even before we were officially dating, Kevin and I made smoothies together. When it came time to decide what we were going to toast with on the big day, it was a no-brainer.

Green smoothies!

No wine, no champagne, no juice… just spinach, ice and a bit of mango. So totally us, so totally perfect.

Today’s smoothie recipe is very, very similar to what we’ll be serving at our wedding. Add a little spinach if you’d like. It’s pretty good!

I used Silk soy milk for this smoothie. It’s one of the only non-GMO soy milks I’ve been able to find at our local grocery store. They have a couple of varieties – vanilla, regular and unsweetened. The unsweetened is pretty blah on it’s own, but added to a smoothie? It’s perfect!
